On 14 and 15 March we received the visit of Antonio J. Jara-Valera, a researcher from the University of Murcia (UMU). Mr. Jara spent two days in DeustoTech premises. On Wednesday 14 he was presented and discussed the progress in some of MORElab's ongoing projects. He was introduced to some of the research team members of MORElab, particularly those involved Internet of Things-related topics. On Thursday 15 March, Antonio Jara gave a talk (included in the DeustoTech seminar series) where he overviewed the current state of art on the Internet of Things in Europe and its obvious linkage with the Big Data concept. Antonio Jara, who is an expert in the promotion of IPv6, explained to the attendees the issues behind the depletion of IPv4 addresses and the challenges to integrate IETF standards for the Internet of Things . We were delighted to get Mr. Jara here, and we expect to increase our collaboration with him and the University of Murcia in the near future. Thank you Antonio!!!
