ForoTech 2013

A week of engineering and technology exhibition was hosted in University of Deusto last month, from 12th untill 19th. During the event many innovative prototypes and product samples were presented by the participant companies and research entities. The event was visited by students, professors, entrepreneurs, researchers and by the general public.

The exhibition was stuffed by modern and classical technologies, innovative products and futuristic equipments. An electronic car, a wireless glove, a smart clock and a robotic arm were just a few of the successes of the event. In one small stand there was a 3D printer quietly building a CAD model layer-by-layer, from bottom to up. The passing by visitors were amazed by the simplicity yet effective way of transforming a 3D computer model to a physical object. Today’s technological trends are the rapid prototyping machines, the 3D printers, and in the nearest future they can change our world. With these printers in mind the Third Industrial Revolution isn’t so far behind.

What kind of new technologies and surprises can bring the second edition of ForoTech in 2014? We’ll have to wait and see.
