Nowadays we assist to a huge increase in mobile apps. These are considered a new social phenomena. Most of us, overall engineers and computer scientists, have a last generation smart-phone in our pockets that is populated with several different apps, independently of the mobile platform (e.g. iOS, Android, Symbian or Blackberry OS). The questions that we rise (throw) are: HOW MANY OF THESE APPS ARE ACTUALLY USEFUL FOR OUR LIFES? and DO ANY OF THEM OFFER A SOCIAL CHANGE OR CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS A BETTER AND FAIRER WORLD?
