Description

Sensaware is a research project focused on the design of a new generation of alarm control panels with high-level context information interpretation and native spontaneous communication with ZigBee-based wireless sensor networks. Sensaware provides three main innovations: -IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee connectivity: in order to collect all the information from wireless sensors deployed in the environment, even in mobile/roaming entities. -Location capabilities: based on RSSi signals from the ZigBee-based wireless sensor nodes. -Intelligent context interpretation mechanisms: using semantic representation and soft computing techniques (neural networks, fuzzy logic), in order to provide higher level interpretation of data to identify malicious behaviour.
