SmiWork: An Interactive Smart Mirror Platform for Workplace Health Promotion

Description

This project aims to incorporate the concept of wellness promotion as a part of a smart work environment by encouraging workers to healthier lifestyle through a smart mirror platform.

This goal involves: On the one side, measuring workers' physical activity through wearable devices (e.g. smart wrist-based gadgets) and workplace's ambient conditions through different sensors deployed in the environment. On the other side, displaying health information to end-users through a smart mirror installed in the workplace premises. Furthermore, an interactive voice-controlled interface leveraged on the surface of the mirror is used for communicating with the conversational smart mirror agent.

The interactive mirror allows workers to access to useful general information and personal self-monitoring data, warning them about insufficient physical activity or giving motivational to them advices and triggering persuasive cues in order to foster a healthier, happier and more productive work environment.
